BREAKFAST WITH TURNER THE Brisbane Business News Breakfast Series continues at the Brisbane Polo Club on March 25 with another highly anticipated guest speaker, Flight Centre (ASX: FLT) founder and managing director Graham Turner.

Turner’s journey began in the 1970s with his feet on the ground but head to the sky, with the purchase of a $1300 double-decker bus in London with a friend.

This was the birth of Turner’s Top Deck Travel success story, a company with which he cut ties in the 1980s to cast his eyes on new heights.

It was true lift-off for Turner when he launched Flight Centre in 1981, which has since soared from one shop to a $13.5 billion global corporation with more than 30 brands and 2500 stores worldwide.

Flight Centre is one of the world’s largest travel agency groups with operations in 11 countries and a network that spans more than 75 countries. The company has been going from strength to strength since launching on the ASX in 1995.

Guests at this special event will have the rare opportunity to meet the man who revolutionised the retailing of air-travel in Australia and hear his inspirational story while enjoying breakfast.

Take flight with Turner at the Brisbane Polo Club from 7am on March 25. Tickets cost $45 per person or $399 for a table of 10.
